The Top 40 lessons I learnt in my 30 years (Part 1)

August 31, 2020

  • Building wealth: There is a direct correlation between your net worth and the time energy and risk you take. Do you want more money? It’s easy.  It means more risk, energy, time, and resources directed towards making more money and creating value for others. More skin in the game
  • Controlling your emotions: Holding unto anger is like carrying a heavy jug of water and complaining its heavy. It’s like the video of this senator who said he’ll kill himself to put the policeman in trouble (He’s so angry and I reckon he didn’t pause to consider what he was saying anyway). You can’t be happy and sad at the same time, no matter what you do. So just grow up and pick one! ( be consistent). Always express your emotions. Don’t be an idiot. Find the right channels for doing so
  • Clarity: All thinking is not equal; there is such a thing as higher-level thinking

  • Attitude: Your attitude/intentions at the beginning of something translates all the way to the end/ throughout the duration of the task. SO BE INTENTIONAL

  • Planning better: Good planning means being prepared for difficult situations. It’s about not losing momentum, risk assessments, and identifying the critical path for the completion of a task/ project. While you’re at it, consider the resources of other projects that will be affected as a result of embarking on making more money: relationships, hobbies, and having a social life for starters.

  • Beliefs: Empowering beliefs are the foundation of all good results, because your belief defines who are you and what you can accomplish.

  • Execution: There are too many ideas and not enough execution. People pay for execution. without the execution, ideas are nothing

  • Overworking yourself: You’re most likely doing too much if you think you’re doing too much. Your results are not clear. Learn to 80/20 your life.
  • Seeking alignment: how is what you are doing today helping you build your ideal future? Or here’s another perspective,  5 years from now what does your ideal life look like?

  • Thinking/mind: The questions you ask shape what you see.
